Have had accident policy from Mutual of Omaha from the time my children were little. My now 20 year old who is still covered was hit in the mouth while playing basketball. This broke the tooth root and in turn has cost $4,000 to date with more work to follow. Turned in the claim in Oct 09 and 4 months later I'm still getting a run around from them. The fact is this was an accident that lead to the tooth dameage. . They have not payed the $2,500.00 per accident to me and trying their best to get out of paying this accident claim. Run don't walk from Mutual Of Omaha.....They have 10 or more years of my premiums and I have nothing in return when due.............. |

I had the long term disability policy for 14 years. When I became disabled because of a neuro-muscular disease and extreme spinal stenosis they refused my claim. My tests showed nerve damage and I could walk only short distances with a 4 pronged cane. My doctor wrote them letters, but they said I could continue to work full time. When I applied for Social Security Disability, I received it immediatly. I hope the people that refused me will someday suffer like I do.. |

I switch my bank. Had to inform them 5 different times! this process too 5 months! Then they threaten to close my policy for non payment!! GRRRRRR>> Total disconnection of departments! I can only imagine if I had a claim.. |

I never wanted to pay more from my hand for all those expenses which my insurance plan should cover. It was difficult to get a medical plan which can meet my hospital expenses. It was at this juncture that I came to know about Mutual of Omaha. Here I find that I can choose the out of pocket maximum. I am receiving their benefits amount with which I manage to pay my hospital expenses. I wonder that nowadays I am spending little in the hospital from my pocket. Mutual of Omaha is spending everything for me sparing me from those huge medical needs.. |

I recently called Mutual of Omaha customer service on behalf of my father to check status of his claim, and was greeted with the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The agent, Donna, was the rudest, most bad-mannered and impolite customer service agent I have ever spoken to ever! She would not let me speak, and spoke above me in a very graceless and loud manner. I intend to file my complaint directly through Mutual of Omaha as soon as my call is returned by a supervisor. What a shame!. |

It is terrible when someone is stress from learning they have cancer encounter terrible customer service and to get the run around when trying to submit a claim to what most folks believe is a reputable company. You are put in que far to long, then when someone tells you they will send you something they dont follow through, you call and even the managers in customer dont follow through. Days have gone by and no one promptly answers the phone or you cant fax anything because the only fax line they have is busy 24/7. I really believe they are avoiding serving their customers and paying claims. I am a retired customer service manager and someone in their organization should be giving pink slips,reviewing the que and fax time logs,and assigned some projects to their business analyst.There is NO excuse for this type of customer service by any company, especially Mutual of Omaha!. |
